Thank you for visiting BibleScribes.info! I have decided to copy the Bible by hand, and I’m using this blog to help me keep track of my progress.

I started writing Luke on August 5, 2022. Since my handwriting isn’t very good, I printed out two pages of Luke in very light gray and traced over it. Since that seemed to work well, I wrote over 30 pages that way. My handwriting has improved, but I still can’t write in a straight line on blank paper. I then used a book binder bone folder and rulers to make lines on the paper.

Right now I’m just practicing, because there are several decisions I need to make before I start for real:

  • Bible Version (I’m currently using ESV, but some of the wording seems awkward)
  • Pen
  • Ink
  • Paper

I also want to learn bookbinding so I can bind it myself when I’m finished writing it.
